I'm sure Ian wouldn't object if I suggested that you put sightings for the Withnell area on the Chorley and District Natural History Society Forum at 'www.chorleynats.org.uk/forum'.
Thanks
Incidentally, at which end of the walk were the Tawnies - Brinscall or Abbey Village?
As well as on here of course

An evening walk through the reserve with the last hour of light to see what was moving, and it was a pleasure to hear so much birdsong.
5 longtail tits
2 pair bullfinch
large numbers of Blue and Great tits, robins and blackbirds m & Fs
1 wren
1dunnock
5 song thrushes
30 jackdaws
2 Carrion Crows
3 Mallards 1m and 2 f
2 moorhens
1 pheasant (sat high in a tree)
2 maggies
on the return back to the car just as we approached the bridge, 2 Tawnies flew into a nearby tree and sat in excellent view of us, only several feet away
J&J
