Brian, these influxes tend to be dependent on the current climate in e.g. Scandinavia and allied to that the availability of Waxwing chosen food stuff.
So a mild winter in Sweden, loads of berries = poor waxwing numbers in Britain

Very unlikely indeed Brian. Influxes of Waxwings like this before, in fact even bigger than this winter's, have never resulted in breeding.

Is it possible that with such a large number of waxwings coming over this year that some will stay and breed?
