I doubt if there's been much searching at all.
I can't get there till weekend, and as all weekend birders know 'Monday's bird is full of woe, because on Friday it's sure to go!'

No further reports since the original sighting at 11:45 yesterday. How thoroughly the bird has been searched for subsequently is anyones guess though.

any more sightings today? I'm going to try and get there tomorrow with my Dad, see if it's still about. Who cares what county it's in?

There`s nothing much I can add apart from the fact that after my initial sighting at 11:45 and then watching it for 10 minutes, it disappeared from view. However I know from experience that they can go "missing" for long periods, sometimes for several hours before returning - presuming it is favouring this area to feed in, and presuming, of course, that it wasn`t just passing through !

The bird was seen at 11:45am but has not been relocated since. It was by the pond in the field (on the western side of the lane) viewed from off Heapy Fold Lane (which runs to the east off Charnock Back Lane), approximately 300 yards north of the farm at the very southern end of Heapy Fold Lane. Map reference SD610170.
