You really wont't go far wrong with either really and the Nikon/Canon rivalry means the technology is constantly getting better which can only be good for users of both brands.

Dont forget that anything imported into the uk from outside the EU and costing over £80 in value will attract the attention of HM customs and you'll end up paying 17.5% VAT plus delivery also attracts VAT.

Well thats what happened to me last time I ordered something from outside the EU.

Whats the big thing with Canon vs Nikon. I used to have a canon eos film camera and found it really good - I've never been a 'true' photographer type mind you. Is it a bit like being a swarovski or leica/zeiss/Nikon person

Agree with John.

I've just had a look on ebay at this offer and I would be tempted to give it a wide berth.
The price including 6 lenses works out at just over £1200 which is about the same price as the 7d body only at Jessops.
The 500mm lens in this deal is going to be nothing but junk.

For roughly the same price you could pick up a Canon 50d with a Sigma 500mmm and a 300mm which would be a much better bet for anyone serious about starting in wildlife photography.

You could also do the sensible thing and opt for Nikon.

I would watch the ones that say JAPAN,on them as you will have no comeback if anything happens to them.There are loads of offers on Ebay,but I wouldn't risk it,stick with a reputable dealer,and buy the best you can afford,and if you must go to the Darkside(Canon),make sure you read as many reviews as you can before you splash the cash
