Spent a couple of evenings this week gulling at the site by Barton Dock Road Metro stop. Very nearly all Black-headed Gulls, best count 435 incl. at least 28 juvs. Nothing good with them, but did see a Polish bird, ringed as a breeding adult on 13th May 2024 at Jankowo, central Poland more or less, so a fairly early migrant. No other sightings since ringing.
In between my first and second visit work has started on the site; it looks as if it is going to host a lot of solar panels, so the gulls might have to go elsewhere soon.

Whilst cycling home from work this evening along Trafford Park Road at 10.10pm I noticed something feeding under the street light a bit further ahead of me, thinking it was most likely a bat to my surprise it was in fact a wheatear (female) catching moths, it landed on a sign just below the light looked at me made a couple of tacking calls & flew off into the yard beyond the sign.
