While watching one of the Grey Wagtails I was surprised to see a Bat continuously flying over the stream, I've never seen one at that time of day (12.30p.m.) Not sure what species but bigger than a Pipistrelle.

had a walk through prestwich clough and part way through drinkwater park yesterday. lots of tit flocks about, blue, great and long tailed as well as a single goldcrest in the cemetary. grey wagtail along the stream and pair of great spotted woodpeckers, female tapping on a tree. also small flock of redwings at bottom end of the clough. in drinkwater along the river 1 male goldeneye, 6 teal, 8 mallard, little grebe, cormorant, heron and a female kestrel perched up in a treelettin me photograph her would have probably seen few more things but didnt go too far up the river
