again if you look on the main website-manchester birding,which this forum is part of there are a few shots of stock doves from the bunting hide,and they are daily visitors to that area,for a few years now.

Yes its a Stock Dove. I've not seen them often at Pennington though, saw my first from the Bunting Hide on News Year day of this year. Think I have seen them on the spit before aswell.

I reckoned I saw a Stock Dove at the Bunting Hide a few days ago but a very experienced birder told me this was unlikely as they very seldom visited such places. I now wonder if all I had was a feral pigeon.
I did get a photo of said bird which I have out onto my Flickr page and would appreciate any comments on it. As far as I am aware this was (would be?) my first Stock Dove.
