Gorton Reservoirs on 27th March, approx. 3-5pm (not sure what was Lower and what Upper, tbh - didn't have a notebook on me, only a camera):
3 "manky Mallards", or is that "dodgy domestics" near the watersports centre: http://pic.atpic.com/1755043/600 Coot building a nest 3 female Goldeneyes (no males visible) 3 male Goosanders (no females - odd parallel) 5 or so Great Crested Grebes at least 3 Tufted Ducks Cormorant flying over, briefy landed on the lake before flying off again
Lapwings, Pied Wagtail, Song Thrushes and... something small, brown and streaky, probably a pipit? (I'm not really much good with smaller passerines) on the golf course between the reservoirs and the M60. Great, Blue and Long-tailed Tits, Robin, Blackbird, fleeting glimpse of a (probably Gold)finch in nearby hedgerows.
Very loud domestic chickens in nearby allotments ;)
Side Res: 2 GC Grebe (clearly divided their territories) 3 Goldeneye (fff with yellow band on bill; males up on Audenshaw Res) 2 Tufties 2 Coot 2 Grey Wagtail 2 Heron

Graham if you're local I think there may still be a vacancy for doing the WeBS count at Gorton Res.
