Last week we had a walk around the moor edges up Chew Valley and as we crossed the access road at the valley head, a flock of finches flew over. My inital thought was Twite, but I didnt have my bins.
It was pretty windy so I dint really catch their sound. I have just listened to Twite on the RSPB site and am not convinced that they were or were not!
I havent seen many Twite so I am not really an expert.
dont you just love the frustrating side of birding!
I may pop up there with my bins and have a search
