Unfortunately it is certainly the latter though that doesn't detract from what is a cracking looking bird

One of my work colleagues was telling me this morning that he has had a Golden Pheasant in his Marple Dale garden on both days of the weekend feeding on the scraps dropping from his feeders. He was interested enough to look up information on the birds and found that there are reported approximately 120 breeding pairs in the UK. Could the Marple area be lucky or is this a fence jumper?
