It might be worth checking out the area near Light Hazzles where they fed the Twite.I've seen Snow Bunts up there on several occasions in the past.The birds sometimes shelter in the reservoir wall to keep out of the wind.Good luck.

No sign again first light till 0800. Several red grouse, raven, fieldfare and several large flocks of gulls heading high into west yorkshire from the direction of audenshaw!

No sign between 4-5.30 pm. I have seeded against the wall in the general area it was reported and will be up there first thing.

Received call last night re Snow Bunting. Reliable source and good description.
Seen Wednesday on Pennine Way north of Brun Clough Resr on A62. Head north on Pennine Way, taking main path. Bird was seen less than 100 yards past the kissing gate (in Greater Manchester!). Very confiding. Had been seen by other walkers on Monday.
