I took my little lad for a walk through the woods yesterday afternoon to feed the ducks. Saw 6 Jays flying down the centre of the dam then land in the bushes, never seen so many togerher all at once. I thought they were quiet shy and solitary.
around this time through february,i quite often see small groups chasing each other at penny,i think its the older ones pushing the young ones away from thier territories before breeding,as most of the crow families breed fairly early in the year
