Good news indeed. It was a ridiculous idea in the first place to think of building a racecourse in this area. I just wonder if saving Barton moss has now become a little harder to do as Peel holdings will concentrate more fully on developing this part of Salford's Green belt instead.

Today Peel Holdings' plan for its Forest Park and Racecourse in Worsely was finally rejected by the Government - full story, plus the Mary Burns Awards (final day tomorrow!) here...
