The first and last sites on your list are on the county database. It is the policy of GMBRG to supply records free of charge to local councils for conservation purposes. Therefore please ask the officer dealing with this to contact me directly, stating how many years' records are required amd whether all species, or just Red/Amber/Sch 1 wanted.

Hi all,
I work for the Lancashire Wildlife Trust in Bolton and am currently aiding Bolton Council in their attempts to designate three sites as Local Nature Reserves. We have records from the past year for butterflies, bats, amphibians, vegetation, and dragonflies and are currently using these to develop management plans for the sites. We do not have any records for birds however so if anyone has records for these sites they would be greatly appreciated and would be used to inform the management plans. Also if anyone would like to be involved in the future this would also be very beneficial to future management of the sites.
The locations of the sites are:
Brownstones Quarry: SD 680 125
Ousels Nest Quarry: SD 730 141
Ousels Nest Meadows (Upper Bradshaw Valley): SD 736 137
We need all the support we can to aid designation of these sites so if you would like to answer a short questionnaire of 12 yes/no type questions (via email) or have any questions or concerns I can be contacted at scartwright@lancswt.org.uk
Thanks!
