Helen good advise from Judith, send me a PM to let me know what area you are in, and I will see what I can do, oh you can pop it in at your local vets and we pick up from there later.

Ring the RSPCA. They will come and collect it from you. Meanwhile keep it in a dark box, or similar, with some water if possible. If the switchboard tries to put you off (they use a commercial firm) be firm with them and insist that you know they will deal with it. If necessary, quote Insp. Paul Heaton's name to them.

I've just caught a house sparrow in my back garden - it appears to have injured its wing, it cannot fly and I don't want one of the local cats to get it.
Can anyone suggest who I could contact/what I should do next?
Thanks
