There are several rowans at the Premier Inn on Sir Alex furgerson way which I have been watching for a few weeks now, plenty of berries still there but are going down. On my way to work at today 12.40pm there was... 14 mistle thrush 1 song thrush 5 blackbirds 1 redwing Possibly a blackcap but in a tree a little further away from me but soon flew off.

Whilst on my way to work a peregrine was causing havoc amongst some Feral pigeons near oakland house, Talbot Road at 12.25pm.

Blackcap singing along the tram track at King's Road Bridge around 6.30pm. Chiffchaff also singing in the same area yesterday & the day before.

3 common buzzards circling around above Seymour Park drifting in a westerly direction at 2.15pm.
A Lesser Whitethroat was singing alongside the Bridgwater Canal, just west of Old Trafford stadium, early this afternoon.

Whilst walking the dog tonight around 9pm good numbers of Swifts still whizzing around in several small flocks, one particular flock of around 25 then turned there attention to a bird of prey going over, a peregrine falcon, they pursued it down ayres Road heading towards old Trafford metrolink depot.

A very nice surprise this Xmas day evening whilst walking the dog at 10.45pm a tawny owl was heard calling on kings road near kings road primary school, it was perched in a tall tree next to the tram line then flew off towards firswood

Monday 26th December 2016, 2.30pm
West Point Building, Chester Road, en route to our usual Boxing Day defeat, this year at Old Trafford.
The building appears to be used as a plucking post by a raptor. Three Black-headed Gull carcasses lay on the ground, breasts removed.

Good few days from office on Chester road, female Sparrowhawk on ledge on the old Parker's garden centre building.
Yesterday Long Tailed tit, blue tit and Dunnock in front of my office window, and this morning female Blackcap also in front of window.

Peregrine Falcon fighting with Carrion Crow over Chester Road (near West Point) at 10-20 this morning, the Crow gave up and flew off towards Talbot Road with the Peregrine in pursuit.

Working through the front gardens towards the city centre.
