I wonder if it's the bird that's been in Holmes Chaple earlier today? There seems to be a bit of an influx nationally at the minute.

Black Stork reported flying East over Heald Green at 5.15pm this evening according to RBA.

09/05/2011 - Ramble around SJ88S this morning, the area which is south west of Heald Green town in the open area of farmland and productive scrub on the other side of the Wilmslow bypass, selected species present:
1 Lesser Whitethroat - east of bypass and just south of railway in fenced off area of scrub 3 Common Whitethroats 3 Chiffchaffs 1 Garden Warbler - ditto the Lesser Whitey 1 Blackcap 1 Willow Warbler 2 House Martins 1 Swallow 4 Swifts 2 Stock Doves 3 Bullfinches 1 Reed Bunting

Had the Heald Green square in my BTO Breeding Bird Survey, so I went out places I wouldn't normally go.
Found a very productive area of scrub south of Bolshaw Lane down a footpath alongside the tomato nurseries heading towards Styal, absolutely full of warblers (Blackcap, Whitethroat).
Sadly I think most of the area's just over the Cheshire boundary!
