My first Swallow of the year, this morning, siiting on a wire at Red House Farm.

From the canal bridge on School Lane late on this afternoon watched a female Sparrowhawk chasing a Buzzard across the fields. The Buzzard didn't seem unduly bothered just perched up on a telegraph pole with the Sparrowhawk on the next one along.

I have never seen this behaviour before - anyone else?

Also pair of Yellowhammer in the hedge along the canal.
