Sightings 3/1

2 Raven Flew north calling over the park about 10.45 this am

160+ Redwing feeding on the outskirts near the res with 30+ Goldfinch, 20 Chaffinch, 2 Nuthatch and 2 GSW.

Apologies for not putting this on a thread earlier, but have been all over the place during Christmas (London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Lancaster, Staffordshire and Oldham!) and barely sat down to go on the computer. For the record I had a few good birds on my Atlas work around Heaton Park and Simister on 24th December, including: Heaton Park reservoir Little grebe 8 Goldeneye 20 Tufted Duck 55 Teal 37 Scaup 1 (female) Goosander 2 Lapwing 96 Green Sandpiper 1 Heaton Park and Simister Lesser Spotted Wooodpecker 1 (northern edge near secret lake in with 40+ LTT flock) Nuthatch 3 Treecreeper 1 Redwing 14 Goldcrest 14 (highest count I've had in the park) Lesser Redpoll 12 Chaffinch 10 Bullfinch 4
