Does anyone have any information on the origins of the entry in the 2007 report of 12 common whitethroats at Etherow C.P. in May? It seems such a remarkable record that I would like to know more about it, e.g. was it a count on a single day (of a fall perhaps), or the record for the month in total and therefore maybe not of different birds. I ask particularly because as a regular in the park for over 20 years, I have only ever seen one common whitethroat (I've in fact seen more Lessers). There just does not seem to be the habitat for them. Looking forward to having my scepticism rammed down my throat!! Andy
