had a stroll down the dissused railway line from platt bridge to bickershaw,28/09/08 list as they appeared 80+ starlings 2 goldfinch 2 magpie 1 collard dove 30 feral pigeon 1 crow 250 pink feet 12 wood pigeon 1 pheasant 1 grey heron 1 g s pecker 1 sparrowhawk(up close and personal) 2 jay 2 little owl(very vocal and the best views i,ve had until they saw me) 2 snipe 6 teal 1 kestrel 1 swallow 2 mistle thrush 1 pied wagtail tits robins etc to many to type,cracking morning and probley more to see cheers geoff
