When I got there there was only one birding - the others were off filling their faces by all accounts!

You weren't the only one - I was there in the morning - and another County lister was there too - but I'll let him confess rather than outing him!

Was over to New Brighton Promenade this afternoon during high tide during very high winds. Cracking views of Storm Petrels dancing on the waves, lots of Common/Arctic Terns passing far out into the Irish Sea, with Arctic Skua chasing the odd one. Also passing in the winds were Fulmar, several Shag and a small groups of Dunlin still in summer plumage. Was out walking with Family, so didn't have much time to watch the waves, but definetely worth a trip in high winds if you find Petrels hard to come by.
