Had a look for the goosander and chicks yesterday but despite having a good look I could not find them. They may well have been resting up or underneath the nearside bank where it would be near impossible to find them.
Two kingfisher.
Two grey wagtail one juvenile.
Three heron.
Edit :I was informed by a lady who new what she was taking about that there was a goosander and 7 chicks on the river near fish ponds on Saturday.

If the Heron had 2 feet with 1 leg-that would have been strange

Went to Burrs today with Paul Cliff in the hope of seeing a Kingfisher, after having no luck at Radcliffe.
Both of us were soaking and l mean sodden wet thru' ha ha....l'd slipped in the river a little and wanted a coffee and was desperate to see a Kingfisher and then once we got to the weir one flew by!!!!! l was delighted,it never landed or came back but l wasn't bothered......l had a fleeting glance, and was happy with that.
Other sightings were a female Mallard with a brood of NINE juveniles, well done to her that's quite a family, also saw three Goosander flying over head.Lots going on in the trees Long-Tailed Tits with young,Robin and Grey Wagtail along the bank and a sad sight of a beautiful Heron with only one foot!! two legs but only one foot
