Three Iceland Gulls present this early afternoon in bitterly cold conditions. Two well marked juveniles (one with a perfect juv Glaucous like bill pattern) and a 'grotty' second winter. Around 6000 Herring Gulls present.

An imm Iceland Gull was in fields between here and Simister yesterday (12/4) with around 750 large gulls - mainly Lbb - looked like a second winter bird.

the current tipping is on the right of the road as you drive up the hill from the motorway junction at pilsworth. Like i said viewing is difficult due to large mounds of earth so visiting at weekend would be the better option when there is less working activity

Went up there this morning but not a single large gull to be seen from the perimeter fence - not even any flying over . Wonder if I was in the right place? Anyone got any up to date directions?

Is viewing still from up the bank from the road from the motorway to the industrial units on the left as you drive down?
