Short walk late afternoon through Park Bridge and up through Medlock Valley and Rocher vale. Many more people than birds unfortunately.
Highlights:
Common Buzzard flying high SE of Hartshead Pike
Pair of Kestrel with chicks on a high ridge in the valley
Also loads of fly tipping everywhere! Reported it to council so hopefully it'll get moved soon but it's a right tip at the minute in some areas.

3rd February.
Walking past the visitors centre at Park Bridge this morning I could hear a loud tapping noise on what sounded like a window. I located the source which came from a Carrion Crow pecking repeatedly, loudly and forcefully at the rear window (presumably at its own reflection? ) of a Toyota MPV parked in the public cark park! Surprised it didn't set the car alarm off!!
Also in the general area - Kestrel, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Dipper, 5 Redwing and c30 Siskin feeding on birch.
Cheers,
Bill.
