my grandad occasionally gets lsw's on his feeders, i assumed he meant gsw's until i saw it on his peanut feeder a few weeks ago. he lives in bolton near smithell's.

Monday 13th April 09. Early morning walk from home in Harwood, discovered male lesser spotted drumming on dead tree at the rear of Bradshaw fisheries some 20 yards bolton side from a disused dingy in the grass grass. Went back an hour later but bird not in evidence.

According to Phil Rhodes North Yorkshire comes under Greater Bolton!!

A Lesser Spotted Woodpecker was reported in Bolton today on Birdguides.
Has anybody any information on this birds location.
Suspect it maybe Jumbles as we had heard that one has been seen in this area.
By the way its mainly in Lancs.
