I didnt record the date sorry Judith. I will do in future. Im struggling to even remember the month. Id hazard a guess at June. my bird list is just a big list of birds with no other info.

Did you have permission to sit on my bench??
Not a bad list there, one place we will be visiting on New Years Day
No, I didn't think you'd mind... Couldn't see much anyway, looking straight into the sun

On strike from work today so I thought i'd have a walk and see how many species I could find. I walked from the Three Sisters, along Landgate Lane, past Park House Farm and then all round the Flashes... No real rarities, but a "patch tick" with 2 RAVENS at the Three Sisters and a total of 60 species seen (not great, but it was very windy!). In case anyone is bored and has nothing better to do (because I dont!) here they all are in order of appearance:
Mallard
Tufted Duck
Pochard
Goosander (4 (3m & 1f) on 3Sisters Lake)
Moorhen
Coot
Mute Swan
Black-headed Gull
Siskin (Quite a few flocks, the biggest being about 20 @ 3Sisters)
Long-tailed Tit
Goldfinch (Largest flock approx.40 @ 3Sisters)
Meadow Pipit
Magpie
Lapwing (At least 200 over South Lancs Industrial Estate)
Chaffinch
Goldcrest
Great Tit
Blackbird
Starling
Redwing
Carrion Crow
Grey Heron
Fieldfare
Kestrel
Lesser Black-backed Gull
Wood Pigeon
Jay
Coal Tit
Robin
Dunnock
Bullfinch
Greenfinch

Willow Tit
Jackdaw
Wren
RAVEN (2 heading N, low over fields between Bryn Hall and new Police Station)
Skylark
Herring Gull
Lesser Redpoll (Mixed flock of Redpoll, Siskin and Goldfinch @ Bryn Marsh)
Buzzard (Seen from Bittern screen @ Bryn Marsh)
Cormorant
Grey Wagtail
Great Spotted Woodpecker
Sparrowhawk
Collared Dove
House Sparrow
Common Gull
Reed Bunting
