I thought they couldnt fly .. obviously I know they can, I meant I thought the zoo ones were possibly clipped and flightless.

Sunday. Trip to Blackpool Zoo.
- Chiffchaff and Blackcap around the whole zoo - 5/6 Ring-necked Parakeets near Wolf enclosure - Barnacle Geese breeding all over the zoo. I thought they couldnt fly but plenty doing just that

glad you went to see them rob, when I was there 1 of the purple sandpipers was sat on the go-karting track wall about 15 yards away with the turnstones. also plenty common scoter far out, but a few closer in.

Eider 10m 1f Cormorant 5 Oystercatcher 10+ Turnstone 50+...some very tame. Ringed Plover 15+ Sanderling 60+ Skylark 1 singing near Rossall School. Pink-footed Geese 80+ heading North. Mediterranean Gull 1 adult just off shore adjacent to the Venue Pub, Cleveleys. Redshank 60+ Black-headed Gulls Herring Gulls Lesser Black-backed Gulls
