Chat Moss, Tuseday 24th July, mid-afternoon.
A nice few hours in the sun (where did that come from )...
Hobby- a cracking adult flew just 30 ft past us (me and my son) on Astley Road heading north by New Farm and field 19.
Yellow Wagtail- an quite huge (from a county perspective) 17 birds (atleast), including 13 juvs, 2 females and a male in the horse paddocks by Woodstock Farm, field 24 and atleast a single female on the potatoe piles on field 44 (which can be reached by continuing along the footpath past the poddocks by Woodstock Farm, eastwards, another female and male flew onto the piles but they were likely to be from the horse paddocks?).
Skylark- 8 on the potatoe piles (field 44).
Buzzard- 4, a very noisy family party including 3 juvs around Woodstock Farm.
