Flying ant time - BH Gulls love 'em. I noticed some on the ground with wings, today. At Trafford Ecology Park today, a brood of Tufties. Nice place for a picnic lunch if you work in the area of Salford Quays. There is access to the lake even if the centre is closed and a free car park which I think is safe. And a hide.

Adult Mediterranean Gull on Scotman's Flash 1215-1220pm today, as approx 1500 Black-Headed Gulls and 50+ Swifts fed on flying insects across the Flashes and surrounding area, drifting in from the north. The Med then took flight but the gulls in general were still aerial feeding so may still be present
Black-Tailed Godwit on Horrocks early a.m. plus 2 Common Sands
