great finally got some time off work Morning stroll birds showing well along canal sedge warblers coal,blue,great,willow,long tailed tits red shanks in farmers field greenfinches and chafinches one very young signet on canal chiffchaffs. horrocks- plenty common tern and black headed gulls with chicks great crested with chicks very nearly adult size approx 20 lapwings. no chicks spotted. grey heron being mobbed by gulls .
