As the Rochdale webcam isn't yet up and running just thought it may interest some that the webcams at both Winchester & Salisbury Cathedral are switched on and both have had eggs laid with a good view of nesting site. I know it's out of our area but at least it's something.

Another, from a Liverpool church - nesting area set up by dedicated local enthusiasts who monitor the site One of last year's birds (male, if I remember) died from canker, presumably caught from feral pigeons, but another stepped in rather quickish Someone mentioned 5 nests around the city this year

For anyone who might be interested here are 5 live UK Peregrine webcam links :-
There's not much activity yet as the mothers are incubating for most of April.
Here's a good link to view a live Peregrine nest at Nottingham Uni. There are currently 3 chicks. When the eggs were first laid, the nest was virtually covered in snow, and we thought they would probably freeze. Obviously not.
Just realised this should be on the 'General Discussion' forum. Apologies Ian.

Below is the link for the Peregrine webcam - though the pictures aren't very good quality.
There was a panic today, as none of the chicks could be seen from the fixed camera. Anyway, all 4 are OK - they have wandered further along the ledge (as they did last year). It's a very long ledge.
