judith, hurst wood is not private it is a public nature reserve and is just off ringly road. to get there you need to walk to the end of copper lane. There are many different birds there such as woodcock, buzzard, treecreper, woodpeckers and all the common birds. it is deffinatly not private there are always birders there, hope this helps. anyway who told you it was private?

On the pools either side of the Motorway. There are a couple of vantage points which over look them. The fields are at the end of Phillips park road west.
