70 Siskin today near the back of the Civic Hall, with 2 Mealy Redpoll and 3 Lesser Redpoll 2 Willow Tit 2 Raven over, plus an unseasonal bumble bee sp.

4 Mealy Redpolls on the common between Aspull RUFC and Aspull Civic Hall this morning. Present in a flock of 20+ Goldfinch and 1 Siskin. There are a number of desire lines/informal footpaths across this common land. Nearby Woodshaw Ruck has lots of Birch on it and there is an extensive area of woodland, with a few footpaths, between the Rugby Club and the ruck which contains lots of Birch and Alder

There were at least 2 Mealies today among 12 Redpolls behind Aspull Civic Hall. Also 25 Yellowhammer on an adjacent stubble field

I had a quick look around the area around 2ish today but to no avail (p.s. sorry I didn't put the Mealies on the forum earlier Dave, but as I was actually typing it onto the forum at home after getting back form there I got the call about the Desert Wheatear and as you can imagine, got a little sidetracked )

8 mealy redpolls today in alders by Aspull Civic Hall/Aspull RUFC, Woods Rd, off B5238 Wigan Road, Aspull.
