Nick, They have nested on William Wroe over near the Pennybridge Lane entrance also in The 7 sisters tree at Flixton House over the last couple of years
I have had them this year also nesting in the trees to the rear of St Michaels Church, just beyond the front door towards the graveyard.
Cheers
Hi Steve Interested to hear about those records (and they could be from one of those sights). Are they using the box put up close to the 7 sisters tree or actually in it (I took a photo of it a couple of weeks back).
They tend to come over the garden from directly south and I suspect there may also be activity close to the Mersey in the Queens Road area.
Cheers Nick

Every morning a handful of Rose-ringed Parakeet pass south over my Davyhulme garden, every evening (presumably) the same birds fly north. Yesterday evening the usual 3 or 4 birds were joined by some juveniles, with 8 birds in total. Conformation of breeding somewhere within the Urmston area (suspect around the River Mersey).

We're still getting 6 or 7 individuals daily on the feeder, a mix of adults and juveniles (Hazel Grove). The one I mentioned previously with 'pin' feathers I now suspect has a condition - I think it maybe polyfolliculosis where more that one feather grows in a follicle and therefore doesnt grow properly. As this one is so distinct with its scruffy brown head (we've nicknamed it Vyvyan after the punk in The Young Ones) I wondered if anyone else has spotted him? - it would be interesting to see how far these birds travel. I will try to download a picture of him at some point.
