Evening visit 16th August highlights. 1 Garganey. Looked to be flying and preening more this evening. 6 wigeon flew around the res before flying south. 3 Common Gulls. 2 little egrets. 7 Common Terns.
Also this morning 12 Common Scoter flew over heading west and a Redstart at Within's.

A nice early morning stroll from 6am to 9am.
Highlights include:
3 Sandwich terns spotted flying over North-west, brought to my attention by a single call from one of them.
Also:
Common tern x2 Common gull x1 Snipe x1 Lapwing ×30+ Kingfisher x2 one hovered to fish, and a second bird presumably came to snatch any prize it caught, or either it was being fed? Common sandpiper x2 Gadwall x2 Garganey x1 Buzzard x1 Jay x2 Water rail x1 Plus the usual summer visitors.

This morning 6am till 11am. 62 species recorded.
1 Common Sandpiper 2 Snipe 4 juvenile Shelduck on the reservoir briefly mid morning then flew west 3 Water Rail 3 Little Owl 1 Common Tern 2 Kingfisher 1 Willow Tit 1 Garden Warbler 40+ Willow Warbler 1 juvenile Redstart in the Goyt. Rubbish phonescope photo below.
