Had a nice walk yesterday through, from what I can gather from the Chat Moss field numbers map in the site guides section of the main site, Barton Moss and along the boundary of Chat Moss and Irlam Moss (route was Barton Moss Road past the young offenders centre and the airfield, over the bridge and left along Twelve Yards Road).
Single Redwing and Carrion Crow in trees next to Field 49. Grey Heron in Field 46. Around 200 Chaffinch (and at least one Brambling) flitting between trees around (not numbered?) freshly ploughed field on the left just before Black Wood. This field might be part of number 45 - just separated by Twelve Yards Road. Kestrel also seen flying and hovering over this area at the edge of Black Wood. 6 Yellowhammer and at least a dozen Long-tailed Tits in small trees lining Twelve Yards Road between Fields 6 and 7. Buzzard perched and taking off from tree between Fields 7 and 10. Plenty of activity involving Blackbirds, Blue Tits, Great Tits, Wren and Robin along Twelve Yards Road between Fields 5 and 10 and also 4 and 11.
220 Meadow Pipit flew up from fields off Moss Lane, Astley Moss in one flock this afternoon and flew off north.
