Just a quick note; as i was passing to work, I had a quick look at what gulls were on the reservoir. There was about 50 around the carpark area, most of which were lesser black backed gulls, one of which was a very pale lesser black backed that could easily be mistaken for a yellow legged gull (definitely not a hybrid either). Also were a dozen herring and a great black backed gull. The smaller gulls included the usual black headed gulls with half coming into or already in breeding plumage and a few common gulls. I'm afraid that's all I had time for...

Apologies for a late post; Birds seen at 2pm. 200 large gulls and about the same again for the smaller ones (black headed gulls and common gulls). Sadly, nothing out of the ordinary this time. Was Around 85? Of the larger gulls were herring (mostly 1st winter) and same goes for the lesser black backed gulls. The rest were great black backed gulls. Grey and pied wagtails were to note, along with reed bunting and bullfinch. Plus the usual ducks as in previous days.
