Nice couple of hours up to Ramsdale's Rucks and back including only Horrocks, Tom Edmondson and Ramsdale hides.
Noticeable from the start was the large number of Mute Swans around - I counted 49 plus 9 juveniles. Perhaps they were all concentrated up the eastern end because of the (human) open water swimming further west.
Nice group of Wagtails on the foreshore by the car park - 1 adult and 2 Juv Pied and 4 Grey Wagtails, 3 of which then flew over in front of Horrocks' Hide.
Also Willow Warbler 3 Juv Reed Warbler 1 Common Sandpiper 1 at Ramsdale's Hide Common Tern approx 20 on the open Flash.
Plenty of interesting wildflowers at present on the Rucks too.

Couple of hours yesterday morning in still pretty hot conditions. Apart from the profusion of wildflowers and butterflies on Ramsdale's Rucks, my most interesting spell resulted from hearing a Cetti's Warbler singing at the bottom of the rucks, coming from a fairly young but dense willow on the shoreline. I hung around there for about 30 minutes and had:
2-3 glimpses of the Cetti's (singing in relatively low volume snatches of its usual pattern, and hopping around in the bush) 1 pair of Garden Warblers were silent but well seen at the top of the bush and flew out to another tree. A small family of Willow Warbler 3 juvenile Reed Bunting.
Pretty impressive for a single willow!
