I got up to the Reservoir by about 13.30, counted 6 Greenshank, and there were briefly 7 present by about 14.30, and then 1 flew off, but the 6 looked settled enough.
I saw a single Common Tern roosting on a buoy, but no sign of an Arctic, which would have been nice.
Other than that much the same as Paul, although I didn't see half as many warblers! I managed 2 singing Sedge Warblers, including one showing really well in Capsticks Marsh. Totalled 45 species including things seen on the walk up from Radcliffe tram.
0530-05:50am Quick check on way to work this morning 6 Greenshank 1 Oystercatcher 1 Peregrine Falcon
Cheers Steven

Still to note; greenshank still here and 1 common tern.
Ps. Steven, The 4 herons wont keep small waders away from the ample mud space. Personally I think it's due to a lack of wader advertising.
Thanks

At least 8 terns on now with most been common with a few arctic terns. Difficult to count due to difficulty in keeping track of them. But they are at least 2 arctic for certain.

Late visit, approx 8.15pm with Steve Burke and Simon Gough.
- Black Terns 3 were still present but within minutes all flew off NE towards Bury. - Common Terns 4 still, flew off with Black Terns - 1 other Tern present that appeared to have very long streamers but I'm well aware of the ID problems using this feature, and the light wasn't the best either so probably a 5th Common Tern. - Oystercatcher 2 - Ringed Plover plenty around at very least 6 - Willow Warbler 1 seen, more heard - Swift, few around - Sand Martin few around - Lesser Black-backed Gull 2
Another rarity was seen tonight, a Black-footed Goughie! It was in the black smelly mud around the creek area.
