Phil,
I managed to pick up a Sedge Warbler flitting around the undergrowth off the corner, where the Chiffchaff normally arrives first, at around 0900hrs..
And had a reeling Grasshopper Warbler in Jack Lane Reed Bed, but couldn't locate him...
Destruction of this habitat is very disappointing to here - even at the end of my local avenue around a dozen trees, all mature, have been chopped down and replaced by wavy lap fencing this week right in the middle of the nesting season

Interesting sighting this afternoon. Went to the front of the house on Stott Drive, Flixton, to watch an RAF Chinook fly towards Barton and next minute 2 Kingfishers shot fairly low across the road in the direction of the nearby fields and possibly Dutton's Pond or the River Mersey. That relieved the boredom somewhat.
A Keep Fit Bimble over as far as Wellacre School with the Boss..
Great to see that the Rookery STILL exists at Wellacre...its only 44 years since I first cycled past it on way to work...it had 12 nests today ...nature surviving as it does..
Not too much else in the way of specific recording but it was good to still find healthy pockets of House Sparrow

6 Pied wagtail
15+ Starling
2 Cormorant
2 Mute Swan
