As I was leaving work this afternoon at 4pm, two Buzzards flew low over the EMR scrapyard on Liverpool street. One perched on the Gasometer while the other was being mobbed by 3 Magpies. The Magpies got too close and the Buzzard twice turned on its back as it was flying and tried to catch one of the birds. Eventually both Buzzards flew off towards Weaste

Spectacular display of 2 large groups of House Martins (circa 400) and approx 50 Swallows between 8am and 10am feeding up on the insects over Weaste ETW this morning. The strong winds cornered the insects against the taller buildings on Eccles New Rd leading to the House Martins flying within inches of the office windows and nearby industrial units. Also probable Peregrine over Cargill (next to Centenary Bridge) at 4.30pm.

Prior to recent visit I had been there once about 3 years ago, but access/viewing was very difficult, however now there is a raised Media City link road adjacent to the site, that affords panoramic views of the site & of the adjacent Manchester Ship Canal
Anybody else visited or watched the area in the past ? This site is another in Salford that looks like it has much potential
