Quite a few Teal, female Wigeon, several Shoveler, meadow pipit, light coloured Buzzard, kestrel, Snipe larg flock 200 Redwing with a few Fieldfare, flock of 30 Pied Wagtail, Grey Wagtail and a Great Spotted Woodpecker and more common.

still very quiet here the last few days, another good search of the hedgerows revealed very little, 1st goldeneye of the autumn on the res today the only bird of note.

Adding to Ians sightings from this morning, 2 wigeon, a minimum of a dozen meadow pipits together near old Hall farm, 2 waders popped into the vegetation at wader point. I only had a glimpse of them and I'm almost certain they were ringed plovers (unfortunately I couldn't relocate them with the time i had as it's like a mini jungle around that area). Also one snipe was seen.

I decided to count the wigeon, I only got to two! Several meadow pipits still passing through with half a dozen linnets and one male kestrel was seen.

Adding to Ians sightings this morning was 3 grey wagtails and few meadow pipits. Good numbers of house martins with the swallows (almost 50/50 when I viewed them) and yesterday I had a dunlin between the canal and tram line.

7.15-9.15 a.m. 1 Knot in front of sailing club with the long staying Ruff, 4 Sandwich Tern over(3 followed 5 mins later by another) flying South. These were GM Year tick 160. Then a male Merlin flew along the wall catching one of the Old Hall Farm Sparrows, GM Year tick 161. 37 Wigeon, 4 Shoveler, 30+ Teal, 1 Gadwall, 60+ Tufted on the res. Swallow moving South overhead approx 70 in total with small number of Meadow Pipits and a flyover Goosander. Also 1 Peregrine on pylon 26 and 2 Sparrowhawks above Sailing Club. No sign of the Scoter pretty much everything else aforementioned today still present, (minus the peregrines) a flock of approx 30+ lapwings flew over causing a ruckus with the gulls. Folowed by 20 + Canada geese. There were two male kestrels showing really well along the canal too.
