C9 brief glimpse of a fox, first i've seen over here for months, although a couple of fellow dog walkers have told me they have seen a large dog fox quite regularly,

C9 2 grey squirrel this morning but no repeat of yesterdays acrobatic display.

C9 a grey squirrel put on a superb acrobatic display for about 5 mins this morning didn't seem to be any purpose to it, it just seemed to be playing.

weasel darted across the path above Diggle flash this afternoon.

dinner plate sized terrapin sunning itself on a log at Fir Tree flash, dropped into the water when disturbed by a cyclist

good numbers of butterfly before the rain came, my butterfly id is not great but i did spot, large white, small white, gatekeeper, meadow brown and peacock,
The rowan trees are now packed with berries is this normal or are they late? none of them had berries in winter when the fieldfare etc normally feed on them consequently i didn't see antything like as many fieldfare as in previous years.
1 dead shrew on tarmac road wednesday morning.

2 dead shrew on concrete road above Diggle flash this morning, Hundreds of small frogs ( approx 1/4 inch ) on paths around Diggle flash and on Tarmac road all seem to be heading away from the water into the fields.

1 Mink on path just beyond Nevisons Flash heading towards Plank Lane 10.10a.m

3 bats just off new road with other bats around Diggle flash, i think pipistrelle but not sure.

21-10pm last night fox on path towards Higher Hall flash, 22-14pm Hedgehog on path across field beside flash.

Weasel crossed path near Higher Hall Flash, 3rd weasel seen this week 2 at Pennington on Tuesday.

Fox bounding through the long grass at 10-49am, toads around Higher Hall flash.

Fox on Leigh side of rucks at 13-53 then another fox around Higher Hall flash at 15-02.

at 2-37 a stoat crossed the track about 5 yards in front of me, at bottom of new road on old farm track.

Fox just off the new road built to service proposed golf course, had a bit of a staring match with my young rotty before being disturbed by a collie coming the other way. ( rotty was on the lead)

saw a fox being teased by 2 magpies in field near crankwood at 3-45pm
2 squirrel playing in trees around fir tree flash at 5-20pm
