Roosting Lesser Black-backed Gulls 103 (on rooftops and runway) Many distressed Lapwings as a tractor ploughed last year's maize field. Hope the eggs have hatched.
Practically the same as yesterday except the Little Ringed Plovers were joined briefly by a fourth at 3:35.
Plenty of Gulls about as a result of the neighbouring fields being cultivated.

2 Skylark in the Airfield 1 Swallow overhead 2 Lapwing 2 Chiffchaff 2 Oystercatcher
Church Lane Flood;
Main birds of note were 3 Shelduck Now 3 Little Ringed Plover
Fired a text off to Mr Raynor before heading home, sadly the Shelduck had moved on by the time he arrived, a quick return trip for me and bar the lack of Shelduck the only difference was the 2 Oystercatcher were now on the flood.

Ah ha. I saw your car then John. I pulled in at the top gate behind you, hoping for it to stop. When it didn't I just had to make a dash in the lighter spell. Didn't notice the Teal, but it was pretty hard to concentrate when getting bombarded by little ice bullets.

Left as a woman walking her dog decided to start throwing wood into the flood for it to retrieve and disturbed the few birds around. Its no wonder farmers get upset with people she was well off the line of the public footpath, total regard for the birds and path.
No sign of yesterday's redshanks. Tony, they were hard even with the scope yesterday.
