Is there anywhere near the city centre or Salford that still has berries? Going to see if I can find any in the morning.

2 Waxwings at Bolton Great Moor Street around 9.00am. Trees still covered by Berries opposite the skateboard park. There is an aggressive Mistle thrush guarding the trees so the Waxwings were at the end of the row and flew across road to trees near the market.

Thank you Carl for the info, really appreciated! I arrived just before 1000 with around 30 Waxwings feeding with 2 Redwing in toe. They picked up and left around 1015 with 4 remaining in the area.
Just seen a flock of 25+ waxwings at 8.15 am in Boothstown, Worsley in the car park of the Moorings pub M28 1YB. There are two berry trees that they are after being defended by a mistle thrush. I would have uploaded a picture but my camera is in for repair.
Update - they are not going anywhere fast, as walked round, as I live near the pub. They are in the tall trees just near the car park and raiding the berry trees from there.

Breaking news! A few waxwings have just been reported to me that were outside the tram station in Radcliffe at around 2:30pm. Apparently, they were often perched there in the trees around the station when Radcliffe saw the last mass invasion and kept going over the former Coney green school (now a health centre) but I never did find out ezectly where they were feeding. Thanks.... info thanks to malcolm thew.

26 in Mossley outside George Lawton Hall at 3.30. Could have been eyeing up the cotoneaster there (though it's very low) or the couple of Rowans in gardens on Curzon street. Unfortunately by the time I'd got home to fetch bins & camera they'd gone, so no info on direction they went.
