First returning Oystercarcher this morning. The earliest record beating 14/2 in 2015 and 15/2 in 2014!

Top reservoir calmer than I have ever seen it....like a mirror!
7 Goosander inc. 5 females. Around 20 black headed gulls on the water.
Chaffinch, greenfinch and a pair of reed buntings near the feeders. 1 cormorant on the lower res.

Good conditions this am at Castleshaw.Sunshine and blue sky, giving great light conditions. Mild also for this time of year.
2 male and 1 female Goosander on the top reservoir, Also 1 pair of Goldeneye. 1 Kestrel hovering/hunting.
A flock of Ca. 35 Lapwing flying South West over the lower reservoir. Also 4 Cormorants on lower res.

Mid/Late am.visit.
Not great weather conditions.As soon as I exposed a lens the conditions worsened. 2 Cormorant fishing on the upper reservoir, nothing else. 2 Mistle thrushes in the area.
Lower reservoir.
4 Cormorants. Approx 40 Black headed gulls. 4 mallard.
There will be better days.
