Wanted to head up to find this Black redstart.
It rained on my way up there, quite a long shower, and seeing a few people soaked aswell. But I eventually made it to the top of Winter Hill.
I found both Black redstarts, first one was at 10:30 and was a flash glimps, the other (juvenile) landed briefly half hour later on a bollard but gave better views. Couldn't find them again after once the cloud started to lift and gave up at 1pm, so guess i'll have to wait another opportunity to get any pictures of them. But glad I managed a year tick.
Also Meadow pipits around x20 vanished once the cloud lifted. Wheatear x1f again vanished at the same time. Raven

The Goldfinches spent much of the time resting on wires, each time they descended to the thistles to feed a female Kestrel
that was perched on a nearby telegraph pole clearly showed an interest in them. The Sparrowhawk first appeared high above
Walker Fold, she was attacked by the female Kestrel, however the falcon was no match for the hawk so made a quick exit.

after being unsuccessful several times she gave up and drifted North over Holdens Farm.
