I made it 12 little ringed plover and single ringed plover on Little Woolden Moss this afternoon.
Also several juvenile willow warbler, a blackcap, around 25 linnet, a yellowhammer heard singing, at least 3 kestrel and a single (very tatty) buzzard.
At least 3, and possibly 4, quail heard calling from the fields either side of the path from Astley Road to Little Woolden Moss; first heard from the field on the left of the path looking down from Astley Road, then another heard from the field on the right (both whilst still on Astley Road itself). About halfway down the path two heard again (one just on the other side of the ditch to me, it was very clear); I guess one could've been been the one initially heard in this field from Astley Road, though. Yellowhammer perched on a wire around here, too.
