Flock of around 80 headed south over Golborne @ 0.840 then decided they did'nt know where they wanted to go and flew in circles over Lane Head. Didnt see which direction they went in after that.

110 east 09:06 far north of the peat pools 220 east 09:06 far north of the peat pools 320 east 09:08 far north of the peat pools
All these skiens were probably over Farnworth airspace atleast and heading due east coming from a westerly or slightly north-westerly direction.

C. 160 flew west over the Piethorne Valley on Sunday 12th Sept at 11:40 hrs. I understand that Paul Cliff had two flocks over Watergrove the same day, one of a similar size. Perhaps the same birds?

i heard what i assume to be Pink footed geese flying over Pilsworth today about 7pm. i did not see any because of the dark but heard the typical noise that they make as flying over.
there were also a minimum of about 20 pied wagtails present. pilsworth always has quite a few pied wagtails present in winter.
